After completing his MBA, Chris started his career in finance 22 years ago working for Hambros Merchant Bank and subsequently an American investment bank, Prudential Bache Securities, giving advice to institutions on a wide range of financial derivatives and other investment vehicles.
Preferring to deal with individuals he joined Royal Life (now Royal & SunAlliance) as a financial adviser and subsequently ran one of their branches in Hertfordshire for approximately 4 years. Preferring to assist clients rather than training and managing advisers, he became an Independent Financial Adviser with Heartlands, specialising in onshore and offshore investment planning as well as Inheritance Tax Mitigation and film schemes.
Nicholas has spent 30 years working directly with private clients, trusts and charitable institutions providing wealth management solutions. He has worked as a Senior Private Banker for Coutts and SG Hambros so has a comprehensive understanding of the requirements of Wealth Planning. In addition Nicholas has extensive knowledge and experience of credit markets and can provide advice on all aspects of residential and commercial lending together with lifetime or equity release lending.
Nicholas is a Member of the Chartered Institute of Securities & Investments and holds the Private Client Investment and Advice Management Certificate. In addition he holds the Certificate for Financial Advisors through the Chartered Institutes of Bankers and the Certificate in Mortgage Advice and Practice through the Institute of Financial Services.
